COMMON MAN

Wednesday October 14th | 7:30 PM

Common Man is the indie-pop duo made up of husband and wife songwriting team Compton McMurry and Meredith Johnson. Their music blends punchy storytelling with layered harmonies, creating a sound that feels both personal and expansive. They can often be found lighting up a U.S. touring circuit with live shows that offer a genuine connection that resonates with audiences.

Their 2024 EP “Only One” introduced listeners to their thoughtful songwriting and melodic approach, drawing attention from fans and local media alike. Common Man has built a steady following through word of mouth, local shows, and a commitment to honest, well-crafted music.

They took their music on the road in their trusty Honda Civic and have been touring ever since, booking house shows and small venues across the South-East and beyond. By the end of 2025 they had released their latest EP “Musterion” with an accompanying music video.

The duo have no plans of slowing down after a year of international touring, opening for The Arcadian Wild, and participating in a handful of Festivals. So look out world, because Common Man has traded in their Honda Civic for a brand new 2009 Honda Odyssey and they’re looking to the future with really squinty eyes.
